The Whitstable Oyster Festival brings in around 80,000 people during the week and most of the incomers are at the weekend. The town will be heaving with visitors so if you want to show off your craft skills and make sales, that's the best day in the entire year to do it. If you are interested mail Mitch (…See More

Oysters at the Oyster Festival

Are there creative ways of using oyster shells other than building grotters, i am thinking how great it would be if visitors to Whitstable during the festival were to keep happening  across  creative constructions of oyster shells. Oyster as art as it were.  Any ideas? We don’t have much cash to spendbut we can look at paying expenses if anyone has a really brilliant idea they’d like to propose…. Open Studio at Oyster Festival?

Do you have a studio and would you like to open it to the public during the Whitstable Oyster Festival? If you have public liability insurance to £5million (a MUST have I’m afraid) and you are NOT a commercial gallery then you can be listed in this year’s Oyster Festival programme. Still with me? Then drop me a line at mair@mairstratton.com and I’ll send you a form to fill in. That’s all you have to do but you must do it before the beginning of May to meet the deadline.
