Imaginings - Moira Hyde at Horsebridge Arts and Community Centre

October 27, 2010 at 9am to November 9, 2010 at 6pm
Painting offers a space for me to play with shape and colour, to create images that are rooted in the natural world and in imaginings of a reality beyond physical representation. For me, image-making is a way of letting go of conscious thought processes and allowing images to take shape, that assume their own character. Whether using photography, painting or drawing, I like to create images that help the viewer to reflect, feel something or to find resonance.See More

September 15, 2010 at 9pm to September 21, 2010 at 6pm
Sophie and Kate Everett present an entirely new trove of works, full of heart and frivolity to warm your cockles and whisper in your ear. Both having had the opportunity to be the other at every turn, we have each selected and de-selected opportunities and experiences, confrontations and confinements our sister has chosen to embrace or ignore. We have led similar paths and have many shared years, yet each of us has appropriated these in almost entirely different ways. It is here in this show that…See More
